The Biotage 820-0400-P01 is an ISOLUTE SLE+ (Supported Liquid Extraction) 96-well plate engineered as a high-throughput, automatable alternative to traditional liquid-liquid extraction (LLE). Each well contains a highly processed, inert diatomaceous earth support optimized to hold up to 400 µL of aqueous sample (often referred to by its 400 mg sorbent mass). When an aqueous biological fluid is loaded, it spreads thinly over the sorbent, maximizing the contact surface area. A water-immiscible organic extraction solvent is then applied, efficiently desorbing target analytes directly into a collection plate. This efficient "load-wait-elute" mechanism prevents the formation of sample emulsions and produces exceptionally clean extracts entirely free of proteins and phospholipids.
