The SC Glass Tech Inlet Adapter is a heavy-duty laboratory component designed for large-scale reaction setups. It features a precision-ground 45/50 Standard Taper Joint (STJ) and a straight 1/2-inch hose barb, making it suitable for high-flow gas introduction or vacuum applications in industrial and research laboratories. This is a "large-scale" joint, often found on reaction flasks with volumes of 5 liters or greater and large chromatography columns. Some of the primary applications for this adapter include Inert Gas Blanketing, Vacuum Manifolds, Pressure Equalization. The linear design minimizes flow resistance and is ideal for top-mounted gas inlets or vertical vacuum take-offs.
