The VWR Long Buchner Filter Funnel (60 ml) is a high-performance laboratory tool designed for efficient vacuum filtration. This specific assembly features a Medium Porosity (10–15 µm) fritted disc, which eliminates the need for filter paper in many applications, and a 14/20 standard taper inner joint for secure connection to recovery flasks.

Core Performance & Design

  • Integrated Vacuum Assembly: Features a built-in serrated side-arm (tubulation) for direct connection to vacuum tubing, allowing for rapid filtration of precipitates.

  • Medium Frit (G3): The sintered glass disc is ideal for the filtration of crystalline precipitates and general-purpose laboratory separations where a balance between flow rate and particle retention is required.

  • Drip Tip Joint: The 14/20 lower joint is designed with a drip tip that extends into the receiving flask, preventing liquid from creeping into the ground glass joint and ensuring total sample recovery.

  • Heavy-Wall Construction: Fabricated from Type I, Class A Borosilicate Glass, providing excellent resistance to thermal shock and chemical attack.
