The Pall Cytiva LV CM018LV Centramate™ Lab Tangential Flow Filtration System is a specialized laboratory apparatus designed for the development and optimization of tangential flow filtration (TFF) processes. TFF is a technique used to separate and purify biomolecules in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and research.   

This system is intended for scale-up and scale-down studies, enabling researchers to efficiently translate TFF processes from small-scale development to larger production settings. It is also suitable for small-batch biopharmaceutical production and the generation of materials for safety and efficacy studies, such as those required for Phase I clinical trials.   

A key feature of the LV Centramate holder is its design, which incorporates identical path lengths. This design characteristic provides linear scale-up to Pall Centramate and Centrasette™ cassette holders, ensuring that process parameters optimized at the lab scale can be reliably replicated at larger scales. Furthermore, the LV Centramate holder, equipped with sanitary clamp fittings, can be integrated with other laboratory TFF systems to enhance their scalability. Sanitary clamp fittings are crucial in bioprocessing to maintain sterility and ease cleaning.   

The system's low hold-up volume allows for the achievement of high concentration factors even when working with small starting volumes. This is particularly advantageous in early-stage research where sample material may be limited.
