Repligen MidiKros Hollow Fiber Filter mPES 300 kD
The Repligen C04-E300-05-N MidiKros Hollow Fiber Filter is a specialized Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) module designed for the concentration and purification of biological solutions at a process development or small-scale level.
A key feature of this module is its hollow fiber technology, where the feed stream flows tangentially through the interior of the fibers, minimizing membrane fouling and efficiently separating molecules. The filter utilizes an mPES (modified Polyethersulfone) membrane, which is known for its high flux, low protein binding, and chemical compatibility. This membrane has a 300 kD (300,000 Dalton) molecular weight cutoff (MWCO), making it suitable for retaining very large macromolecules, such as viruses or plasmids, while allowing smaller impurities to pass through.
The filter offers a 40 cm² filtration area and is supplied sterile, ensuring it is ready for immediate use in aseptic environments. The MidiKros designation indicates its compact, easy-to-handle size, which is optimized for laboratory volumes (typically 50 mL to 3 L). This filter is a vital tool for applications including viral particle concentration, large molecule purification, and high-yield diafiltration in biopharmaceutical research.
