The Thermo Scientific (Nalgene) Square Media Bottle is a 500 mL storage vessel designed specifically for the safe containment of valuable biological reagents, media, and sera. Manufactured from Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol (PETG), this bottle offers a unique combination of properties: it provides the crystal-clear transparency of glass for easy visual inspection but is shatter-resistant and significantly lighter.

A key feature of this bottle is its Square Shape. Unlike round bottles, the square profile is space-efficient, allowing you to pack more bottles side-by-side on a crowded shelf or in a refrigerator.  The bottle features molded-in graduations for quick volume assessment and is typically supplied with a HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) screw closure. This closure is designed to be leak-proof and features a shrink-seal ring at the neck, which provides a tamper-evident seal—guaranteeing that the sterility has not been compromised before you open it.
