Bio-Rad Criterion Cell Vertical Gel Electrophoresis Tray Base

The Bio-Rad 135BR is the replacement tank base for the Criterion Vertical Electrophoresis Cell. This system is specifically designed to run Bio-Rad's unique, wider Criterion precast gels, which allow for more samples and better resolution than standard mini-gels. The base is wide enough to accommodate two Criterion gels simultaneously, allowing you to run up to 52 samples at once. It is constructed from rugged, transparent polycarbonate, which provides high chemical resistance and allows for clear visibility of the migration front. Features a locking lid system that prevents the run from starting unless the lid is correctly seated, ensuring user safety from electrical current. The Criterion cell requires approximately 1 liter of running buffer for a standard run. Ensure the upper buffer chamber is filled to the "Max" line to prevent the gel from overheating.
