The Pyrex 1003-150 is a specialized 150 ml heavy-duty Griffin beaker manufactured by Corning. It is designed for applications where standard-wall glassware might fail, such as in high-traffic labs or during rigorous mechanical cleaning. The primary benefit of the heavy-wall construction is its significantly increased mechanical strength. By thickening the walls and reinforcing the rim and spout, Corning has created a beaker that is far more resistant to chipping and breaking. This durability makes it a cost-effective choice for long-term use. Fabricated from Code 7740 borosilicate glass, these beakers offer excellent thermal shock resistance and chemical stability. The white graduated scale is fired onto the glass, ensuring that volume markings remain clearly legible even after repeated sterilization or exposure to aggressive chemicals.
