The GenScript L00723 AmMag Magnetic Separation Rack is a standalone instrument designed for the rapid and efficient separation of magnetic beads from a solution. This particular product is the magnetic stand only. The rack contains powerful, permanent magnets, typically made of neodymium, which generate a strong magnetic field. When a tube containing a sample with magnetic beads is placed in the rack, the magnets attract the beads to the side of the tube, forming a pellet or ring.
