The IDEX P-331 / P-359 assembly is a specialized Super Flangeless fitting system designed for 1/8" OD tubing in low-to-medium pressure fluidic applications. This "Super Flangeless" design is particularly valued for its ability to eliminate tubing twist during tightening, which prevents the connection from loosening due to vibration or thermal cycling.

Core Design & Benefits

The system consists of a PEEK Nut (P-331) and a Super Flangeless Ferrule (P-359). Unlike standard flangeless fittings, the Super Flangeless ferrule includes a stainless steel lock ring. This ring allows the nut to rotate independently of the ferrule, ensuring the tubing stays stationary as you tighten the nut into the port.

  • Vibration Resistance: The lock ring mechanism holds the ferrule securely in place, making it ideal for mobile phase lines or systems with significant pump pulsation.

  • High Reuse Life: The PEEK construction and independent rotation reduce wear on the fitting threads and the tubing surface.

  • Biocompatibility: The primary fluid-contact materials (PEEK and ETFE) are chemically inert and suitable for nearly all common HPLC solvents and biological buffers
