The Chemglass CG-1525-A-05 is a specialized 250 mL 3-neck round bottom flask designed for high-efficiency mixing and synthesis. It features 14/20 Standard Taper Joints and unique Morton Indents (baffles) that significantly improve turbulence during stirring. The four deep indentations in the flask wall break up the circular flow of liquids. This creates maximum turbulence, ensuring thorough mixing of reagents, especially in heterogeneous reactions or when using high-speed overhead stirrers. The side necks are positioned at an angle to allow for the easy insertion of thermometers, addition funnels, or gas inlets without interfering with a central stirring shaft. Some of the common applications for this flask include high-shear mixing, solid-liquid reactions, and rapid heat transfer.
