The Buchi 000672 Cold Trap Insert is a specialized glass accessory designed to fit inside the Condenser C and CR assembly of a Buchi Rotavapor system. Its purpose is to efficiently trap and condense low-boiling-point solvents, protecting the vacuum pump from vapor damage. A cold trap works by creating a very cold surface that causes solvent vapors to condense into a liquid or solid state before they can enter and damage the vacuum pump. This significantly extends the life of the pump and reduces maintenance costs.
