Chemglass Modified Claisen Adapter 24/40 with #7 Chem-Thread for Thermometer

The Chemglass Modified Claisen Adapter CG-1034-01 is a specialized piece of laboratory glassware designed for simultaneous thermometer monitoring and multi-port access in a distillation or reaction setup. Unlike a standard Claisen adapter that features three standard taper joints, this "Modified" version replaces the top vertical joint with a #7 Chem-Thread to provide a vacuum-tight seal for thermometers. The #7 Chem-Thread at the top allows you to slide a plain-stem thermometer or a bleed tube into the flask. When tightened, the included Celcon compression cap and Viton O-ring create a vacuum-tight seal without the need for ground-glass thermometer joints. By integrating the thermometer inlet directly into the Claisen adapter, you reduce the height of your apparatus and the number of joint connections, which minimizes the risk of leaks and physical instability. Some of the common applications include vacuum distillation, controlled reactions, and air-sensitive chemistry.
