The Hamilton 1001 Gastight Syringe is a 1 ml precision instrument from the 1000 series, designed for the manual dispensing of both liquids and gases. This specific model features a PTFE-tipped plunger that creates a leak-free seal, allowing the plunger to essentially wipe the interior of the glass barrel clean with every stroke. Hamilton Model 1001 LTN 1 ml Syringe is constructed with borosilicate glass and 304 stainless steel, providing high chemical resistance for analytical applications like GC or HPLC. These syringes are capable of handling pressures up to 200 psi and can be gas sterilized, though they are generally not considered autoclavable due to the adhesive used in the cemented needle.
