The Hamilton 86580 Inert Gas Sampling Luer Valve is a specialized, lever-actuated on/off valve used to store and transport gas samples in a syringe without the risk of leakage or contamination from the atmosphere. The valve is constructed from chemically inert materials, primarily PTFE, ensuring that it will not react with or contaminate the gas sample. The valve is also autoclavable, allowing it to be sterilized for use in sterile or biopharmaceutical applications where preventing microbial contamination is critical.
