Waters RapiGest SF Surfactant 10 mg

Waters RapiGest SF Surfactant is a specialized reagent designed to enhance enzymatic protein digestion, particularly for mass spectrometry (MS) analysis. This anionic surfactant significantly improves protein solubilization and denaturation, making proteins more accessible to enzymatic cleavage by proteases like trypsin.   

Unlike traditional denaturants such as SDS or urea, RapiGest SF does not inhibit enzyme activity or modify peptides, ensuring accurate and reliable results. It is compatible with various enzymes, including Trypsin, Lys-C, Asp-N, Glu-C, and PNGase F.   

RapiGest SF is particularly valuable in proteomics workflows where efficient protein digestion and high peptide recovery are essential. It helps to reduce background noise often associated with other surfactants, improving the sensitivity and quality of MS analysis.
