The Aldrich Z100692 is a premium 500 mL Single Neck Round Bottom Flask. The heavy-wall construction provides superior mechanical strength, significantly reducing the risk of breakage during handling or accidental impact. Because of the increased glass thickness, this flask is safer for use under high vacuum conditions than standard flasks. It is less prone to implosion during vacuum distillations or when using a Schlenk line. Some of the common laboratory applications include vacuum distillation, inert atmosphere synthesis, and heavy-duty reflux. The 14/20 ground-glass joint is manufactured to strict tolerances, ensuring a leak-tight, reliable seal with other standard laboratory components. Designed to withstand rapid temperature changes. It is ideal for heating in oil baths or mantles and can be safely moved to an ice bath if necessary.
