It serves as the power and control interface for the P310 Stirrer Motor (and compatible variants like the P100), ensuring precise RPM regulation during fermentation or cell culture processes.

Functionally, this unit acts as the intermediary between the main biocontroller (such as the ADI 1030 or 1010) and the physical motor. It receives a control signal (typically 0–10V or 4–20mA) from the main system and converts it into the drive voltage necessary to spin the motor. It features a closed-loop feedback system, reading the tachometer signal from the P310 motor to maintain a constant speed—even as the broth viscosity changes during cell growth.
