ALZET Model 1007D Micro-Osmotic Pump and Flow Moderator Kit, 0.5 µL/hr (Model 1007D) – Pack of 10 Pumps

The ALZET Model 1007D Micro-Osmotic Pump is a miniature, self-powered implantable drug delivery device engineered for short-term, high-rate continuous delivery of experimental agents in preclinical laboratory animal models. Designed specifically for protocols requiring accelerated dosing, this micro-pump delivers compounds at a controlled rate of 0.5 µL/hr for up to 7 days without requiring external power, wires, or software. Operating on a established osmotic pressure differential, the pump continuously absorbs tissue fluid across its outer semi-permeable membrane, displacing solution from the internal flexible reservoir through an included stainless steel flow moderator. Supplied as a complete kit containing 10 micro-osmotic pumps along with 10 stainless steel flow moderators and filling accessories, the Model 1007D is ideal for acute pharmacokinetic evaluations, therapeutic screening, and targeted local infusions in mice and rats.

Technical Performance & Structural Attributes

  • High Delivery Rate Configuration: Delivers 0.5 µL/hr, providing rapid systemic or localized tissue saturation over a concise 7-day administration window.
  • Constant Zero-Order Delivery: Maintains steady-state plasma concentrations without the sharp peaks and troughs typical of manual bolus injections.
  • Biocompatible Materials: Constructed from inert synthetic polymers designed for subcutaneous or intraperitoneal implantation with minimal local tissue reaction.
  • Catheter Compatibility: Seamlessly attaches to specialized catheter tubing or brain infusion assemblies for targeted delivery to blood vessels, organs, or the central nervous system.
