The plate utilizes ISOLUTE SLE+, a highly modified, wide-pore diatomaceous earth sorbent that acts as a physical support for the aqueous matrix. By spreading the biological sample thinly over the massive surface area of the sorbent, the subsequent application of an organic elution solvent results in highly efficient, thermodynamically optimized analyte partitioning. This seamless "load-wait-elute" workflow provides exceptional reproducibility and completely bypasses the need for vigorous shaking, centrifugation, and manual pipetting of organic layers.

Technical Performance and Design
