The Chemglass CG-1045-04 is a versatile Universal Adapter designed for connecting thermometers, tubes, or probes into a reaction system while simultaneously allowing for vacuum or gas flow. The #9 Chem-Thread allows you to slide a 6mm to 9mm O.D. thermometer or tube to your desired depth and lock it in place with a vacuum-tight seal. Unlike standard adapters, the side hose barb allows you to pull a vacuum or introduce an inert gas (like Nitrogen or Argon) into the flask without needing an additional neck or port. The included Viton O-ring provides excellent chemical resistance and maintains a seal even under moderate thermal expansion. Some of the common applications include vacuum distillation, inert gas purging, and Schlenk lines.
