Cytiva GE Hollow Fiber Filter Tangential Flow Cartridge 750k NMWC
Cytiva UFP-750-E-3MA MidGee™ Hollow Fiber TFF Cartridge (750 kDa, 110 cm²)
The Cytiva UFP-750-E-3MA is a laboratory-scale Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) cartridge designed for the concentration, diafiltration, and fractionation of high-molecular-weight biological molecules. Featuring a 750 kDa Nominal Molecular Weight Cutoff (NMWC), this MidGee™ series cartridge is optimized for ultra-low volume applications, allowing for efficient processing of samples as small as 10 ml. The membrane is constructed from Low Adsorption Polyethersulfone (PES) to minimize fouling and non-specific binding, while the housing is made of durable Polysulfone (PS). This module is an essential tool for R&D laboratories focused on viral vector purification, vaccine development, and large protein complex research.
Technical Performance and Design
750 kDa Ultrafiltration Membrane: Specifically engineered to retain large viruses (such as Lentivirus and Adenovirus) and large protein aggregates while allowing smaller contaminating proteins, salts, and buffers to pass through to the permeate.
Low Adsorption PES Media: The high-flux Polyethersulfone membrane provides a hydrophilic surface that reduces the adsorption of valuable biological analytes, ensuring high product recovery and stable flux rates.
1.0 mm "A" Lumen Diameter: The 1.0 mm internal fiber diameter provides a gentle, low-shear flow path that is ideal for sensitive biological structures and can handle moderately viscous feed streams without clogging.
MidGee™ Small-Volume Efficiency: With a 110 cm² surface area, this cartridge is designed for "Size 3" systems, enabling high concentration factors in small-batch research and process development.

Key Benefits & Applications
Viral Vector Concentration: The 750 kDa cutoff is the preferred choice for concentrating large viral particles with high yield and minimal shear-induced damage.
Nanoparticle & Liposome Processing: Ideal for the washing and concentration of synthetic nanoparticles and lipid-based drug delivery systems.
Fractionation of High-Value Proteins: Efficiently separates large complexes or IgM antibodies from smaller serum proteins and growth factors.
Predictive Scalability: Part of the standardized Cytiva TFF family, allowing data generated on this MidGee™ scale to be directly applied to larger pilot and production-scale cartridges.
