This flask features a substantial cell growth area of 175 cm² (T-175), making it ideal for scaling up cell populations and producing larger yields of cells or secreted products. It has a total volumetric capacity of approximately 750 ml, which provides ample space for the culture medium required to support the large cell growth area. The flask is constructed from crystal-grade virgin polystyrene, ensuring optical clarity for distortion-free microscopic visualization of the cell monolayer.

A key feature of this flask is its vented cap, which incorporates a 0.2 µm hydrophobic membrane. This membrane allows for consistent and sterile gas exchange, enabling the free flow of oxygen and carbon dioxide while effectively blocking bacteria and fungi from entering the flask.
