The Miltenyi Biotec 130-095-691 is a high-throughput magnetic cell separation consumable designed for use with the MultiMACS™ Cell24 Separator Plus and the fully automated MultiMACS™ X. This Multi-24 Column Block enables the parallel isolation of virtually any cell type from up to 24 samples simultaneously, providing significant time savings and experimental standardization. Each block consists of 24 individual MACS® columns integrated into a single unit, featuring a specialized ferromagnetic sphere matrix with a cell-friendly coating. This design induces a high-gradient magnetic field that gently retains magnetically labeled cells while allowing unlabeled fractions to flow through. Each column block is individually sealed and sterile-packed to ensure the highest integrity for cell culture, flow cytometry, and molecular analysis.

Technical Performance and Design

• Parallel Processing Power: Enables simultaneous positive selection or depletion of up to 24 samples, ensuring that all samples are processed under identical magnetic field conditions for superior reproducibility.

• "Flow-Stop" Functionality: The columns are engineered with a flow-stop feature, meaning they will not run dry even if left unattended, protecting cell viability and preventing air bubbles from entering the matrix.

• Versatile Sample Scaling: While designed for 24 samples, the block can be used for fewer samples by using column blanks, or used to split one large-volume sample (like a Leukopak®) across multiple columns to maintain high purity and recovery.
