Sartorius Maxicap Filter 30" Sartopore 2 XLG T-Style 1.5" Sanitary

The Sartorius 5448307G3G-SS Maxicap Filter is a high-capacity, pre-sterilized filter capsule designed for large-scale biopharmaceutical filtration applications. This particular model features a dual-layer Sartopure 2 XLG PES (polyethersulfone) membrane, combining a 0.8 µm pre-filter layer and a 0.2 µm final filter layer. This dual-layer design enhances filtration efficiency and extends filter life by removing larger particles with the pre-filter, preventing premature clogging of the finer 0.2 µm membrane.   

The 0.2 µm final filter layer provides sterile filtration, effectively removing bacteria, yeast, and other microorganisms, making it suitable for sterilizing biopharmaceutical liquids, cell culture media, and other critical process fluids. The "T-style" configuration with 1.5-inch sanitary fittings (Tri-Clamp connections) ensures easy and secure integration into existing sanitary process systems.   

The capsule is gamma irradiatable, allowing for convenient sterilization after installation if needed. The filter was pulled for pictures from a sealed package transfer set, but our stock for sale remains sterile and sealed.  The included 1.5-inch sanitary clamps further simplifies installation and connection to process piping.
