Sartorius TuFlux TPE Tubing 1/8 in. ID x 1/4 in. OD 200 m
The Sartorius FSA121869 TuFlux TPE Tubing is a specialized thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) tubing designed to facilitate fluid transfer in demanding biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes. This tubing is characterized by its 1/8 inch inner diameter (ID) and a 1/4 inch outer diameter (OD), providing precise dimensions for critical fluid pathways.
TuFlux TPE tubing is highly resistant, sealable, and weldable, making it ideal for maintaining sterile conditions through aseptic welding applications using devices like the Biowelder® TC. It is manufactured from a synthetic thermoplastic elastomer that offers a broad temperature range of –55°C to 135°C (–67°F to 275°F) and excellent resistance to various chemicals. The formulation includes an optimized antioxidant package, validated to ensure no inhibition of cell growth, even in small-scale applications with high surface-to-volume ratios. This makes it particularly suitable for sensitive cell culture media and buffer processing, fermentation, cell harvest, filtration, and purification steps.
The FSA121869 model also features an embedded yellow color stripe for easy identification, aligning with Biowelder® TC tube holders for error mitigation during sterile welding. It is available as non-sterile tubing coils, double-packaged in PE bags, and can be gamma irradiated (max 50 kGy) or autoclaved (max 123 °C, 30 min) for sterilization. Compliant with stringent standards including USP <87> & <88> Class VI, ISO 10993-5, and ADCF, this Sartorius TuFlux TPE tubing provides a robust, reliable, and versatile solution for sterile fluid management and peristaltic pump applications in the biopharmaceutical industry.
