Instead of the universal conical fit, these tips feature the distinct LTS cylindrical collar and positive stop, which dramatically reduces the force needed to attach and eject the tip. These tips are equipped with the proprietary ART (Aerosol Resistant Tip) barrier. Unlike standard filter tips that simply use a porous plastic plug to trap particulates, the ART barrier is self-sealing; it physically seals shut when it comes into contact with liquid. This mechanism provides 100% protection against aerosol and liquid bypass, ensuring that the pipette shaft remains sterile and preventing cross-contamination between samples—an absolute necessity for PCR, qPCR, and radioactive applications.
