The Union Carbide Type R-2051 Purox is a heavy-duty, two-stage gas regulator specifically engineered for inert gas service (such as Nitrogen, Argon, or Helium). It is part of the legendary Purox line, originally developed by Linde/Union Carbide, known for its rugged construction and precise pressure delivery in demanding industrial environments. The two stage design provides a constant, steady delivery pressure from a full cylinder down to nearly empty. This eliminates the need for frequent manual adjustments as the tank pressure drops. Designed for high-purity or industrial-grade inert gases, it features a CGA 580 inlet connection.
