The Chemglass CG-1024-14 is a 3-way distillation adapter designed to connect a distilling column with a vertical condenser while providing a port for temperature monitoring. It features two 14/20 standard taper inner (male) joints and one specialized 10/18 outer (female) thermometer joint at the top of the main vertical tube. The primary function of this adapter is to facilitate the flow of vapor from a vertical column into a sidearm condenser. The sidearm and the bottom joint are positioned at a 75-degree angle to one another, which is the standard geometry for most distillation setups. The top 10/18 joint is specifically sized to accept a 25 mm immersion thermometer, allowing you to monitor vapor temperature directly at the point of condensation.
