Invitrogen iBlot 2 Gel Transfer Device

The Invitrogen IB21001 iBlot 2 Gel Transfer Device is a high-performance dry blotting system designed to transfer proteins from polyacrylamide gels to membranes in 7 minutes or less. By utilizing a dry transfer method, this device eliminates the need for liquid buffers and external power supplies, significantly reducing preparation and cleanup time compared to traditional wet transfer techniques. The iBlot 2 system is compatible with nitrocellulose and PVDF membranes and supports various gel formats, including mini, midi, and E-PAGE gels. It features a touchscreen interface pre-programmed with six optimized transfer methods, while also allowing for the creation of custom protocols. The system is designed to provide high detection sensitivity and consistent, reproducible results by incorporating ion reservoirs directly into the disposable transfer stacks.
