BD PhaSeal Assembly Fixture

The BD PhaSeal 515400 Assembly Fixture is a specialized mechanical device designed to facilitate the secure and consistent attachment of PhaSeal Protectors to drug vials. It is a core component of the legacy BD PhaSeal Closed System Transfer Device (CSTD), which is used to protect healthcare workers from exposure to hazardous drugs during the compounding process. 

• Safety & Ergonomics: It significantly reduces the manual force required to connect vial adapters, which minimizes the risk of repetitive motion injuries for pharmacy technicians and prevents accidental "needle-free" connector damage.

• Consistency: By standardizing the attachment process, it ensures that every vial preparation meets the same safety specifications, which is critical for maintaining the "closed" integrity of the system.

• Non-Sterile Construction: As a mechanical aid used on the outside of drug containers, the device is non-sterile but designed to be compatible with standard cleanroom decontamination protocols (e.g., 70% IPA).
