The Chemglass CG-1323-21 is a specialized fritted bump trap designed for rotary evaporators. It features a sealed Extra Coarse (XC) fritted disc that acts as a physical barrier to prevent liquid or foam from "bumping" into the condenser, which saves you from losing product and having to clean your entire rotovap system. Designed for low-pressure vacuum; maximum differential pressure should not exceed 15 PSI. Unlike trapped-bulb designs that can be difficult to empty, the fritted design often allows solvent to drain back more easily. With 24/40 joints on both ends, it fits seamlessly between the vapor tube and your evaporation flask on most standard rotary evaporators.
