Chemglass Pear Shaped Flask 500 ml 24/40 Joint

The Chemglass CG-1554-06 is a 500 mL pear-shaped flask featuring a standard 24/40 taper joint. Pear-shaped flasks are designed to facilitate the total removal of liquids. Unlike a standard round-bottom flask, the tapering "V" shape at the bottom allows for a higher concentration of the sample, making it much easier to recover materials using a spatula or pipette. The steep, sloping sides lead to a small-diameter bottom, which is ideal for concentrating a product after a solvent strip or distillation. The 24/40 ground glass joint ensures compatibility with most laboratory equipment, including rotary evaporators (Buchi, Heidolph, etc.), condensers, and adapters.
