The Foxx Life Sciences EZBio® Single-Use Cap Assembly (430-0015-FLS) is a pre-sterilized, "plug-and-play" closure system designed to facilitate aseptic fluid transfer in 250 mL bottles. This assembly is built upon Foxx’s patented VersaCap® 38-430 technology, which features a high-performance polypropylene (PP) screw cap that provides a leak-proof seal without the need for additional machining or custom gaskets. The primary technical function of this assembly is to create a closed system for transferring media, buffers, or active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), thereby eliminating the risk of environmental contamination during critical bioprocessing steps.

The assembly is distinguished by its integrated fluid and air management components:

• Vented Filtration: A 0.2 µm hydrophobic PTFE vent filter is connected to the cap, allowing for sterile gas exchange. This ensures that as liquid is pumped out of the bottle, filtered air enters to prevent a vacuum from forming, which could collapse the container or stall the pump.

• Dip Tube: The unit includes a pre-cut Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) dip tube that extends to the bottom of a standard 250 mL bottle. This ensures maximum liquid recovery while the TPE material provides excellent chemical resistance and flexibility for seamless integration with peristaltic pumps.

• Sterility and Compliance: Each assembly is manufactured entirely from USP Class VI components and is gamma-irradiated to ensure it is sterile and ready for use right out of the package.
