The Haug 01.7913.005 EN 8 SLC Deionizing Power Pack is a high-voltage supply unit designed to work in tandem with Mettler Toledo analytical balances and Haug ionizing electrodes. This unit is a critical component in precision weighing environments where electrostatic charges on samples—such as powders, plastics, or glassware—can cause measurement drift or physical sample loss. By transforming standard mains voltage into a high-frequency 7 to 8 kV AC output, it creates the ionic field necessary to neutralize surface charges instantly. The SLC (Signaling, Low Capacity) designation distinguishes this model from basic power packs by including an integrated monitoring system and a dedicated signal line. This system continuously tracks the function of the connected ionizing units and the high-voltage transformer without requiring external measuring equipment. If the system detects a fault, such as a short circuit in the ionizing electrode or a drop in ionization efficiency, the unit provides an immediate visual alert via a flashing LED on the housing.
