The Phenomenex AF0-8497 KrudKatcher Ultra is a high-performance in-line filter designed to protect analytical columns from particulate matter and debris. By capturing "krud" before it reaches the column, it extends column life and prevents backpressure increases without significantly impacting peak shape or retention times.

Core Specifications

  • Porosity: 2 µm. This is optimized for protecting columns packed with particles 3 µm or larger.

  • Internal Diameter (ID): 0.004 inches. The extremely small ID minimizes extra-column volume, which is critical for maintaining high efficiency in UHPLC and HPLC applications.

  • Compatibility: Designed to fit virtually all 10-32 threaded female ports (standard for most HPLC columns).

  • Pressure Rating: Pressure stable up to 20,000 psi (1,375 bar), making it suitable for both standard HPLC and ultra-high pressure UHPLC systems.
