Designed for research and process development, this specific configuration utilizes a single-wall borosilicate glass vessel with a heating blanket, which wraps around the exterior of the glass to provide direct electric heating.

The system's core functionality relies on the top-drive motor and impeller assembly to manage agitation. In a fermentation context, this impeller is a Rushton (flat-blade) turbine designed for high-shear mixing and gas dispersion. The motor mounts directly to the stainless steel headplate, driving the shaft to keep the broth homogenous.
